Upper Cervical Care for Sebring and Highlands County Patients
If you live in Sebring, Avon Park, Lake Placid, Wauchula or elsewhere in the Heartland of Florida, you may have a hard time finding an upper cervical chiropractor nearby. Dr. Hasson at Specific Chiropractic in Boca Raton focuses on the top two bones of the neck, uses an exam and imaging first, and makes an ultra specific, gentle adjustment. We welcome patients from Highlands County and the surrounding area.
How Far Is the Drive?
Boca Raton is roughly 100 miles from Sebring. Most people drive about two hours each way, usually via the Florida Turnpike or US-27 and the Okeechobee area, depending on traffic and where you start. It is a real commitment, so we want you to know what to expect. Many patients from the Heartland plan one focused trip, combine it with family or errands on the coast, or come while visiting South Florida.
We are open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8 AM to 7 PM, and Friday 8 AM to 2 PM. Text us your dates and we will help plan around your travel. If a closer office is a better fit for you, Dr. Hasson will say so honestly.
What Is Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care?
The atlas (C1) and axis (C2) sit just below the skull, allow most of the nodding and turning of your head, and surround the area where the brainstem passes into the spinal canal. Our approach is ultra specific: Dr. Hasson measures the position of these bones and, if a correction is appropriate, uses a gentle, precise, low-force adjustment. Your response is re-checked so each step follows your findings.
Conditions We Commonly See
Patients from Sebring and Highlands County come to us for neck pain, headaches and migraines, vertigo and dizziness, whiplash and car accident injuries, jaw (TMJ) pain, post-concussion symptoms, low back and hip imbalance, and sports injuries. We do not promise specific results or cures. The exam shows whether an upper cervical misalignment is part of your picture.
Car Accident and Sports Injuries
We take car insurance for accident-related care, and athletes of every level are welcome. If you were hurt in a crash, call or text as soon as you can. Florida has strict time limits for starting care.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first visit begins with a conversation about your history, symptoms and goals. Next comes a physical and neurological exam and, when appropriate, upper cervical imaging. Dr. Hasson then explains what he found, whether care is recommended, what it involves and what it costs. A correction, if indicated, is gentle and takes only a few minutes. Bring any recent imaging or reports.
