Your first visit includes a conversation about your history and goals, a physical and neurological exam, and upper cervical imaging when it is appropriate. Dr. Hasson then explains what he found and whether care is recommended.
6. How long does the first visit take?
Plan for a little longer than a regular visit, because we take time for the history, exam and findings. We will tell you what to expect when you book.
7. What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable clothing. Bring any recent imaging or reports, a list of medications, and your questions.
8. Do you take X-rays?
Yes. We have on-site digital X-ray, and we use imaging when your history and exam show it is appropriate. Measured imaging helps guide a specific adjustment.
9. Is chiropractic care safe?
Chiropractic care is widely used and generally considered safe when delivered by a trained, licensed provider. Like any health care, it has some risks. Dr. Hasson screens every patient first and will tell you honestly if you should see another provider.
10. Does an adjustment hurt?
Our adjustments are gentle, specific and low-force. Some people feel mild soreness afterward, similar to after exercise, and it usually passes quickly.
11. What is upper cervical chiropractic?
Upper cervical chiropractic focuses on the top two bones of the neck, the atlas (C1) and axis (C2). Because the head is balanced on this region, careful measurement and a precise adjustment are the focus. See our Upper Cervical Chiropractor page.
12. What techniques does Dr. Hasson use?
Dr. Hasson is trained in Knee Chest, NUCCA, Grostic, Atlas Orthogonal, Advanced Orthogonal and Palmer Toggle Recoil. He chooses the approach that fits your exam findings. See our Chiropractic Techniques page.

41. Why do some chiropractors focus on the upper neck?
Upper cervical chiropractic grew out of work by B.J. Palmer in the 1930s. Its philosophy is that the top of the spine is especially important to the nervous system, so a precise, gentle adjustment there is the focus.
42. Is chiropractic care the same everywhere?
No. Chiropractors learn many different techniques and styles. Ask any provider how they decide what to do for you. Dr. Hasson bases care on measured findings.
43. Can I continue my other care while seeing you?
Yes. Chiropractic care can fit alongside other care, and we ask you to tell us about everything you are doing.

These conditions need extra care. Please tell us at your first visit so Dr. Hasson can choose a very gentle approach or refer you if needed.
46. Can chiropractic help my posture?
Posture is part of your exam. Dr. Hasson looks at how your spine is balanced and will explain what he finds. Good habits at work and home also matter.
47. How can I prepare for my visit?
Fill out any forms before you arrive, bring your questions, and arrive a few minutes early. See our New Patient Info page.

50. How do I get started?
Call 561-571-2468 or book online at calendly.com/adjustme. We look forward to meeting you.
51. Are chiropractors real doctors?
Chiropractors are licensed healthcare providers who hold a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree. That training is typically four years of graduate study, followed by national board exams and state licensure. Dr. Hasson graduated with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic. A chiropractor is not a medical doctor (MD), does not prescribe drugs and does not perform surgery. If something looks outside chiropractic care, Dr. Hasson will refer you to the right provider.
52. Can chiropractic help a herniated or bulging disc?
Disc problems range from mild to serious, so Dr. Hasson starts with a history and an exam, and may recommend imaging. Gentle, low-force care may help some people with disc-related neck or low back pain, but results vary and no outcome can be promised. If you have leg weakness, numbness in the groin, or loss of bladder or bowel control, go to an emergency room right away.
53. Is chiropractic effective for tension headaches or migraines?
Research suggests spinal care may help some people with tension-type headaches and headaches that start in the neck. The evidence for migraines is more limited and mixed. Dr. Hasson looks at the upper neck, posture and nervous system function, then reviews whether care is making a difference. Results vary from person to person.
54. What causes headaches and migraines, and how are tension headaches different?
Tension headaches often feel like a tight band or steady pressure on both sides of the head, with tight neck and shoulder muscles. Migraines are often throbbing, may affect one side, and can bring nausea or sensitivity to light and sound. Triggers can include stress, poor sleep, hormones, certain foods and neck problems. A sudden, severe headache needs urgent medical care.
55. When should I see a chiropractor?
Consider a visit when neck pain, back pain or headaches last more than a few days, after a car accident or fall, or when stiffness keeps coming back. Seek emergency care first for chest pain, sudden weakness, trouble speaking, a severe head injury, or loss of bladder control.
56. How do I find a good chiropractor near me?
Check that the license is active with the Florida Department of Health, read recent reviews, and ask how the exam and plan work. A good chiropractor explains findings in plain words, avoids pressure to prepay for long packages, and refers you out when needed. Specific Chiropractic has 4.8 stars from 166 Google reviews. Call or text 561-571-2468.
57. What does a chiropractor do?
A chiropractor examines how the spine and nervous system are working, then uses hands-on adjustments, advice and follow-up to help the body move and function better. Dr. Hasson focuses on the upper neck with ultra specific, gentle corrections tailored to each person.
