Upper Cervical Care for Clearwater and Pinellas County Patients

Clearwater, Dunedin, Largo, Safety Harbor, St. Petersburg and the rest of Pinellas County have many chiropractors. A smaller number focus only on the top two bones of the neck. If you want that narrow, careful approach, with an exam and imaging first and an ultra specific, gentle adjustment, Dr. Hasson at Specific Chiropractic in Boca Raton welcomes patients from Tampa Bay.

Being Honest About the Trip

Boca Raton is roughly 215 miles from Clearwater. Expect about three and a half to four hours each way, usually via I-275 and I-75 (Alligator Alley) or via the Florida Turnpike. Patients who make this trip are usually snowbirds with a second home on the east coast, people visiting family, or those who have tried other options and want this specific method.

If you are already coming to South Florida, an appointment fits easily into the trip. We are open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8 AM to 7 PM, and Friday 8 AM to 2 PM. Text us your travel dates and we will help you plan. If someone closer to Clearwater is a better fit, Dr. Hasson will tell you.

What Is Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care?

The atlas (C1) and axis (C2) sit just below the skull and allow most of the nodding and turning of your head. They also surround the area where the brainstem passes into the spinal canal. Our approach is ultra specific: Dr. Hasson measures the position of these two bones and, if a correction is appropriate, uses a gentle, precise, low-force adjustment. Your response is re-checked so care follows your findings.

Conditions We Commonly See

Visitors from Clearwater and Pinellas County come to us for neck pain, headaches and migraines, vertigo and dizziness, whiplash and car accident injuries, jaw (TMJ) pain, post-concussion symptoms, low back and hip imbalance, and sports injuries. We do not promise specific results or cures. The exam is how we learn whether an upper cervical misalignment is part of your picture.

Car Accident and Sports Injuries

We take car insurance for accident-related care, and athletes of every level are welcome. If you were hurt in a crash, call or text as soon as you can. Florida has strict time limits for starting care.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first visit begins with a conversation about your history, symptoms and goals. Next comes a physical and neurological exam and, when appropriate, upper cervical imaging. Dr. Hasson then explains what he found, whether care is recommended, what it involves and what it costs. A correction, if indicated, is gentle and takes only a few minutes. Bring any recent imaging or reports.
