Teachers, police officers, firefighters, nurses and other first responders in Broward and Palm Beach County are invited to a special first visit at Specific Chiropractic in Boca Raton: a full exam, plus X-rays if they are needed, for $100. The regular price is $475.
The Teacher and First Responder Special
The initial first visit includes a full exam and X-rays if you need them, for $100 instead of the regular $475. Please bring identification that shows you are a teacher, police officer, firefighter, nurse or other first responder (a work ID, badge or school ID is fine), and we will take care of the rest.
Who Is Invited
Teachers and school staff at elementary, middle and high schools in Broward and Palm Beach County, public, charter and private. Police officers and deputies from every Broward and Palm Beach agency. Firefighters, paramedics and EMTs. Nurses, who are first responders too, in hospitals, clinics, schools and home care. If you serve our community, this invitation is for you.
Why Teachers and First Responders Come In
Your job asks a lot from your body: long hours on your feet, heavy gear, awkward positions, little sleep and plenty of stress. Many of our patients tell us they put everyone else first and wait until the pain is hard to ignore. Upper cervical care looks at the top of the neck, where the head meets the spine, and may help your body function better.
What Is Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care?
Upper cervical care is a gentle, ultra specific approach. We use a detailed exam and X-rays to find the exact position of the top two bones of the neck, then make a precise, low-force adjustment. The adjustment is ultra specific and gentle. Many patients find it comfortable, which matters when you are already sore.
Conditions Teachers Ask About, and How Care May Help
Neck and shoulder pain. Looking down at papers, screens and desks all day can strain the neck. Upper cervical care may help restore better alignment so the muscles can relax.
Tension headaches and migraines. Classroom noise, stress and posture often bring on headaches. Because the top of the neck is closely linked to head pain, many teachers ask if care may help.
Low back pain. Standing for hours, bending over small desks and carrying bags, books and supplies can wear on the low back. Better spinal balance may help your body carry that load.
Stress and poor sleep. Grading and lesson planning can follow you home. A body that is more balanced may handle stress better and rest more deeply.
Jaw tension. Clenching through a hectic day is common. The jaw and the upper neck work closely together, and care may help ease the strain.
Conditions Police Officers Ask About, and How Care May Help
Low back, hip and sciatica pain. A duty belt, a vest and hours in a patrol car can compress the low back and pelvis. Better alignment may help reduce the pressure on nerves that run down the leg.
Neck and shoulder strain. Turning to check mirrors, wearing heavy equipment and tense situations tighten the neck. Gentle upper cervical care may help the area settle.
Injuries on duty. Struggles, falls and foot chases can leave the spine out of alignment even when nothing seems broken. An exam and X-rays can show what is going on.
Car accidents. Officers are in and around traffic constantly. We take car insurance, and an exam and X-rays can document how a collision affected your spine.
Stress, headaches and sleep. Shift work and high-alert days take a toll. Care may help your nervous system shift out of constant tension.
Conditions Firefighters Ask About, and How Care May Help
Back, neck and shoulder pain. Heavy gear, air packs, hose lines and lifting patients stress the whole spine. Precise care may help your body recover between calls.
Sciatica and hip pain. Hard landings, climbing and long stretches in the truck can irritate the low back and sciatic nerve. We look at the cause, not just the pain.
Headaches and dizziness after impacts. Bumps to the head and neck on the job can affect the top of the spine. An upper cervical exam may help find a cause.
Disrupted sleep. Overnight calls and long shifts wear the body down. A more balanced spine may help you rest.
Conditions Nurses Ask About, and How Care May Help
Nurses are first responders in every sense. Lifting and turning patients, 12-hour shifts on hard floors and constant bending put the low back, neck and shoulders under heavy strain. Upper cervical care may help with back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica and tired, tense muscles after long shifts.
Cost and Insurance
We are a cash-based practice, and the special first visit is $100 with an exam and X-rays if needed. We do take car insurance for injuries from an accident. Bring your ID and we will explain every cost before you begin.
Schools We Serve in Broward and Palm Beach
We welcome teachers and staff from every elementary, middle and high school in both counties, including Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Deerfield Beach, Coral Springs, Parkland, Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Wellington.
