Who Is Invited

Why Students Come In

Long hours at a laptop, heavy backpacks, phone use, poor sleep, sports and car accidents can all show up as neck pain, headaches, back pain, dizziness or jaw tension. Student athletes are welcome too. We do not promise specific results or cures. The goal of the exam is to find out whether an upper cervical misalignment is part of your picture.

What Is Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care?

Upper cervical care focuses on the atlas (C1) and axis (C2), the two bones at the top of the neck. They sit just below the skull, protect the brainstem area, and allow most of the nodding and turning of your head. Our approach is ultra specific. Dr. Hasson measures the position of the atlas and axis, and if a correction is appropriate he uses a gentle, precise, low-force adjustment. The adjustment is ultra specific and gentle. Your response is then re-checked so each step is based on findings and not guesswork.

Cost and Insurance

We are a cash-based practice, and we do take car insurance for accident-related care. The $100 special is for the initial first visit.

Conditions Students Ask About, and How Care May Help

These are the problems we hear about most from college students, explained in plain language. They are not promises or cures. The exam is how we find out whether your upper neck is part of the picture.

Neck Pain and "Tech Neck"

Hours looking down at a laptop or phone put extra load on your neck. If the top two bones of the neck are out of position, your body may make up for it with tight muscles and stiffness. When the exam shows a correction is needed, a gentle, precise adjustment may help your neck carry your head with less strain.

Headaches and Migraines

Exam stress, screen time, poor sleep and a stiff neck can all set off headaches. Many headaches begin in the upper neck, so we check it as part of the picture. If a misalignment is found, a gentle correction may help your body respond better, which can make study days easier.

Back Pain and Hip Imbalance

Heavy backpacks, long hours in a desk chair and always carrying your bag on one shoulder can leave you uneven. The spine works as a chain, so a shift at the top can show up lower down. We look at the whole pattern before deciding what, if anything, to correct.

Jaw Pain and TMJ

Clenching your teeth during exams and late nights is common. The jaw sits close to the top of the neck, so jaw tension and neck position are often related. We check both during your exam.

Dizziness and Vertigo

Feeling lightheaded or off balance when you stand or turn your head can have many causes, and some need a medical doctor first. When the upper neck is involved, a gentle correction may help your body regain its balance. If dizziness is sudden or severe, get medical care first.

Sports Injuries and Student Athletes

Club, intramural and varsity athletes put hard use on the body. Athletes at every level are welcome. Care is gentle and specific, and the exam helps us decide whether upper cervical care fits your goals.

Car Accidents and Whiplash

A fender bender on campus or on I-95 can strain your neck even when you feel fine at first. We take car insurance for accident-related care, and we are a cash-based practice for everything else.

Concussion and Post-Concussion Symptoms

If you had a head or neck impact and still have headaches, brain fog or neck stiffness, tell us. We will check the upper neck as part of a careful exam. Any serious head injury should be seen by a medical provider right away.

Stress, Tension and Sleep

Many students carry stress in the neck and shoulders, and some tell us they rest better when their neck feels better. We cannot promise that, but we can check whether neck tension is part of the problem.

What Happens at Your $100 Visit

We start by talking through your history and goals. Then comes a physical and neurological exam and, if needed, X-rays. We explain what we find in plain language, tell you whether care is recommended, and give you the cost before you decide anything. You are never pressured to continue.
